The aim of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of narrative therapy with emphasis on innovative moments on cognitive emotion regulation in adolescent girls with self-harm with suicidal ideation. The present study is a quasi-experimental study with experimental and control groups. The statistical population of the present study was all female high school students with self-harm with suicidal ideation who were referred to Shahid Fahmideh Student Counseling Center in Bonab city in 2019 In this study, the available sampling method was used to select the sample. The experimental group underwent 8 sessions of narrative therapy based on the intervention program of White and Epston (1990) and the control group did not receive any intervention. Findings indicate that narrative therapy with emphasis on innovative moments had a significant effect on improving cognitive emotion regulation (p <0.00). It can be said that narrative therapy with emphasis on innovative moments is a suitable intervention method for counselors and psychologists to improve cognitive emotion regulation strategies in girls with self-harm with suicidal ideation.

Aim: The Assimilation of Problematic Experiences Scale (APES) for coding of client's responses and process focused conversation analysis(PFCA) for coding of therapist's responses were combined to each other to write the equation of change within psychotherapy.Method:the research method was case study and the psychotherapy orientation was integrative. Recorded sequential conversations between therapist and client (120 dialogues) were transcribed and coded by APES and PFCA within four therapeutic sessions with one good outcome case that suffered from somatization. Results: results revealed that there is directive relationship between APES level improvement and therapeutic sessions in client. Different kinds of questions, skills and techniques were identified and entered in change equation. Combination of two different coding models, PFCA and APES, supplies suitable situations for assignment of triangles series within sequential conversations between therapist and client. The questions and skills are at the base and the center of the pyramid of therapeutic change respectively and the techniques are above them and the client answers are at the top of the pyramid. Conclusion: Using the two coding methods mentioned, the client's quality of responses can be shown in an objective format. In this way, in this way, the quality of client's responses in assimilation levels is identified and the effect of therapist's responses in progression or setbacks in process change are simply observable.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of mandala therapy on reducing anxiety in adolescents. The research was experimental with a pre-test post-test design developed with a test group and two groups of comparison. The statistical population of the study consisted of all high school students in the city of Germi aged 15 to 18 years old, among whom 45 were randomly selected and divided into three groups: one experimental group (15 people) and two groups Each group of 15 people was randomly assigned. The subjects completed the Spielberger positional anxiety questionnaire (1983) in two stages (pre-test and post-test). The experimental group was asked to paint the mandala for 20 minutes. Also, the first group was asked to engage in staining for 20 minutes and the second group was asked to compare for 20 minutes to Draw free painting. The results of covariance analysis showed that the difference between the groups in the post-test of anxiety was statistically significant, meaning that all three methods of mandala coloring, stained chess coloring, and free painting were effective in reducing anxiety. The results of the Bonferroni post hoc test showed that the mandala staining method had more effect than the other two methods. This difference can be interpreted by calling on its actions to integrate activities in the course of the engagement of subjects in the drawing of the mandala.

Aim of the present study is review of conversation analysis study in counseling and psychotherapy. Informative value of the quantitative method is limited to investigation of process and effects of counseling psychotherapeutic treatments of any types of psychological disorders. Concentration in mean and standard deviation of both experimental and control groups remotes researchers from pure therapeutic events. Reduction of the efficacy study on significant differences between experimental and control groups devaluates the underling structures of therapeutic relationship. To solve this vicious spiral, Application of the conversation analysis as a qualitative method is recommended for study of dual therapeutic relationship. Conversation analysis there is under the title of discourse analysis that helps counselor to overcome to speech tars. It criticizes the psychological method of observation in counseling thus this effects good analysis of counselor-client relationship and their dialogue presumptions. This article introduces conversation analysis and its coding system and applications

Pain is the most common type of stress encountered by humans, especially children. Medications and non-pharmaceutical techniques are used to control pain. The present study aims at examining two non- pharmaceutical methods of pain control, namely relaxation and attention deviation in children admitted to state hospitals. To this end, 51 hospitalized children are selected via convenience sampling method, and once homogenized; they are placed in three equal groups: relaxation, attention deviation and control group. The results of analysis of single- variable covariance show that perception of pain decreases in the two experimental groups compared to the control group, and that relaxation is more effective than the attention deviation method. It can be concluded that two methods of attention deviation and relaxation can be used as non- pharmacological methods along with other methods of pain control in children and cause them to get along with their pain more easily.

Having intrusive thoughts is a characteristic of people with obsession disorder. They deal with thoughts such as perfectionism and intolerance of ambiguity. The present study aimed to examine efficacy of Whittal cognitive therapy and though stopping of patients with obsession disorder. The study was an experimental design applying multi-group pretest- posttest method. 45 subjects with obsession disorder were randomly selected from among patients referred to hospitals, clinical centers, private clinics and counseling centers in Bukan city. They were divided into three groups (Whittal cognitive therapy, thought stopping behavioral treatment and control group). The two test groups attended 8 intervention sessions and before and after the sessions, the participants filled three questionnaires, i.e. Yale–Brown Obsessive Compulsive Scale, intolerance of uncertainty Scale and Perfectionism Scale. Results of the multivariate analysis showed that both treatment methods were effective in reducing obsessive symptoms; however, Whittal cognitive therapy proved to be more effective than thought stopping method. The results of the study indicated the importance of cognitive therapy methods in reducing obsessive symptoms and their being more effective than behavioral therapy methods

Social phobia disorder is characterized by a marked and persistent fear of social or performance situations and maybe associated with embarrassment or humiliation. This research was aimed to exploring the effectiveness of cognitive behavioral therapy in three methods of web-based intervention, software package and clinical intervention in comparison with control group for social phobia disorder. The sample of study was consisted of 68 students whith social phobia disorder who were selected using available sampling from among patients who were seeking treatment at Online and Presence Consultation Center of University of Mohaghegh Ardabili, and then assigned in three experimental groups and one control group. In this research Social Phobia Inventory and Structured Clinical Interview for DSM Disorders were used. The results showed that there was significant difference between cognitive behavioral therapy (web- based and software package) in comparison with control group in reducing scores of social phobia inventory but there was no significant difference between the two methods in terms of their effectiveness. Furthermore, there was significant difference between two mentioned methods and clinical intervention, in a way that clinical intervention was more effective than the other methods. Results indicate that computerized cognitive behavioral therapy is a feasible and acceptable method in treatment of social phobia disorder.
